THROWDOWN's 'Vendetta' To Include Limited-Edition DVD
May 27, 2005The first 50,000 fans who pick up a copy of THROWDOWN's new album, "Vendetta", will be treated to a limited-edition DVD that will include a brand new documentary. The CD is is scheduled for release on June 28 through Trustkill.
Nearly twenty minutes in length, the never-before-seen documentary features in-depth interviews with Dave Peters (vocals),Dom Macaluso (bass),Matt Mentley (guitar) and Ben Dussault (drums) as well as a plethora of photos and exclusive behind the scenes footage from the shoot for the album's first single, "Burn".
With shocking depth and clarity THROWDOWN talks about the formation of the band, the state of heavy music, writing the songs on "Vendetta", touring through most of last year, and working with producer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL) on what is sure to go down as one of the most important heavy music releases of the year.
The documentary was directed, filmed and edited by two producers whose extensive backgrounds in journalism, television and film make for something the likes of which is rarely seen in the worlds of hardcore or metal.
"Vendetta" is the follow-up to the Orange County, California band's breakthrough album "Haymaker", which saw them on tour with LAMB OF GOD, FEAR FACTORY, AS I LAY DYING, NORMA JEAN and more across Europe, Japan, Australia and North America. It also produced the MTV2 "Headbanger's Ball" staple "Forever" and helped secure THROWDOWN a slot on last year's Ozzfest.
Look for "Burn", directed by Chris Sims (LAMB OF GOD, BLEEDING THROUGH) to hit MTV2 and Fuse soon. You can catch THROWDOWN on tour this summer on the Sounds of the Underground tour.
